PC Magazine August Issue Now on Sale: Speed Thrill
Speed is one of the defining benchmarks of almost all technologies. Back when there was a huge difference in performance among PCs, our analysts were dedicated to benchmarking products, determining winners, and helping consumers make smart buying decisions. Since then we've diversified; now we pay as much attention to product design, usability, and overall value as we do pure performance. We've also moved way beyond testing just PCs. The 8 Best Apps for Shooting Video on Your iPhone
For a while now we've been able to shoot video with our iPhones and even share the micro-cinematography on Facebook. Until recently, though, there hasn't been an app that does for video what Instagram has done for photos. The closest we've come to this level of public engagement is Vine, which has been so successful that Instagram itself recently added video-sharing capabilities. Wikipedia Edit Wars: 10 Most Edited Entries
Since its inception there have been battles over who gets to write what on Wikipedia. Although the final results are often fairly accurate, a lot of biased, misguided, and often blatantly incorrect information gets posted along the way. And some pages read more like the snarky comments sections of your least favorite blog than a trusted source of information. Will Game Consoles Save AMD?
The gaming world tends to divide into Xbox and PlayStation camps these days, but there is one thing both sides have agreed upon: AMD will be providing the graphics for the next-generation consoles. This should be a huge win for AMD later this year when the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 start shipping. There is just one little problem and ExtremeTech's John Hewitt can tell you what it is.
